Claim Information
How a claim could affect future rates:
Almost all home claims will affect rates.
Commercial policies are affected by the number of claims and the
amounts. Most at-fault auto claims will affect rates . Some
exceptions apply.
Types of claims that will NOT affect your rates:
No-fault medical payment claims.
Some automobile claims do not affect your rates, such as
Comprehensive claims. I.E., if you hit a deer or need a
windshield repaired due to rocks.
Information on whether to file a claim:
If cost to repair the damage is less or close to your
deductible, it may be in your best interest to not file the
claim.
